Image
Completing Mural It’s the last day of painting ✨ Everyone worked quickly and efficiently today.Apart from satisfying the client I think that making this the last day of standing in heat was their biggest motivation to completing the mural. The completed Mural Painting I am very satisfied with the outcome of this project and I know that the students, teachers, parents and persons who visit the school will adore and appreciate this mural as well.

Week 7. March 21st, Day 2 Mural Prep

Prepping the wall Our next step toward creating the mural was applying a grid to the design. Me. Delves showed us how to apply the grid, for every square  inch was a foot. The grid was done 4x9 ft on the entrance area of the school building.  Me- adding the grid to the printed design Due to the wall not being cleaned we were unable to add the grid and begin sketching, the task was saved for the next week. Lunch was provided by the principal and we called it a day.

Week 9. April 4th. Meeting a guest lecturer

Guest Presentation & Painting Continuation Today we had a guest lecturer Mrs. Ragguette, she did a presentation on murals, including murals she helped design and create and her ceramic sculptures as well. She presented a video that included what art education is, the various art classes that were available at the California Statue University San Bernardino, which she lectured at. She was very lively, charming and communicated clearly and with an obvious passion for her work throughout the presentation. We showed Mrs. Ragguette the murals around our school as well as giving her a tour. Mrs. Ragguette then joined us as we continued painting the mural. Mrs. Ragguette bought everyone cold drinks before she left  as it was very hot and we appreciate her kindness very much. It was the utmost pleasure meeting her, experiencing her personality, wittinessing her work and showing her our work.
